Graphic way to social success

Or how a few ghosts got people talking .. and tweeting

Two graphics, nice and clean and simple, got us the kind of attention on Twitter that you could only dream of.

So we thought we’d pass on what we found out to help you achieve some social success of your own.

Firstly people LOVE clean graphics that are fun and easy to read in a flash.

Secondly people LOVE ghosts, more of that later, and finally that timing, like in comedy, is everything.

So what did we do that’s so special? Well, it’s not that special but it worked.

But back to those ghosts. Months ago we saw a fun graphic about fashionable ghosts, no that’s not a joke as you can see ghosts in camo, ghosts in ra-ra style crafted by the incredibly talented Gemma Correll. We kept a note of it and posted it on Hallowe’en and guess what? Yes, that’s right, it worked. We got record hits and amazing feedback.

Today we did the same thing. The fabulous @ThePoke: #pokexmascharts tweeted a really fun graphic, which made us think ‘Hey we’ve got one kinda like that and it makes us smile.’

So we shared it with them and they shared it with their twitter friends and well, you kinda get the picture.

So that’s the message today .. get the image and the timing right and with a little help with some friends you’ll find a new audience for your business.

Stephen Hagen, cobaltink’s digital director, said: “This is how to get noticed and get in front of people. To keep yourself there is something altogether more challenging .. but we thought we’d help get your started.”

If you’d like to find out how we can help you achieve more with your social reach please get in touch. Of course it’s not always that straightforward but we have ways of it making it work.

Of course you can find us on twitter, fb, google+ and linkedin but here’s our email if you’d prefer info@cobaltink.co.uk
